Gary played guitar in multiple bands in the north of England up until the age of about 23. It’s after moving to London that things start moving for Gary. He went on tour with different bands and ended up doing George Michaels Faith tour (as musical director), then joined Nik Kershaws’ band, toured with Elton John and finished his touring career with Climie Fisher. He starts songwriting and production slowly after.

Gary has been an integral part of two of the most successful production companies in the industry: Stock Aitken Waterman - creating massive hits for Donna Summer, Kylie Minogue, Bananarama, Rick Astley etc. and Metrophonic for Cher (the Believe album), Enrique Iglesias, Lionel Richie, Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Rod Stewart and many Spanish artists, to name a few. Prior to his work with these production companies he has independently produced artists of the highest caliber including David Bowie, Simply Red, Donna Summer, Lionel Richie, Bananarama, Billy Preston and many others.

He is now venturing into writing and producing music for TV and film. His production company Bu-town Productions is based in Malibu.
